 Christ Church offers a Sunday School program for children in grades Pre-K through 6 from September to May. Classes meet from 9:00 to 9:45 A.M. betweeen the two worship services. While in class, the children explore their faith in age appropriate ways. A staffed nursery for infants and children to age four is available year-round.
While we encourage everyone to enroll their children in Sunday School and to take advantage of the nursery, we are a family-friendly church. Children are welcome in worship for all or portions of the service. A supply of books, activity sheets and crayons are kept at the back of the church to help keep them busy while they are in church.
In keeping with the policy of Diocese of Rochester, all clergy and church employees must complete a Safe Church training program. This course provides training in child sexual abuse awareness and adult misconduct prevention. In addition, all lay volunteers who have direct contact with children and youth in their ministries receive Safe Church training as well.
