At a special meeting on December 4, 2011, the Vestry of Christ Church voted with enthusiasm to call Father Charles Tyo as Rector following a recommendation from the Search Committee, and pending endorsement by Bishop Singh.
Fa. Tyo initially came to Christ Church as a supply priest in July, with his role expanding to 20 hours per week in the the ensuing months. Subsequently, the Vestry at its regular meeting on Dec. 12, 2011, approved a formal Letter of Agreement, outlining terms of employment. Fa. Tyo’s tenure could be anywhere from three to five years, but the expectation is that the longer term will prevail.
