Children and Youth - Sunday School

The Sunday School program at Christ Church is intended for children in Pre-K through grade six. Each year, the Christian Education Committee works closely with the rector to select an appropriate curriculum that will enrich our youths' faith in fun and interesting ways. The curriculum provides guidance and support materials that align with the liturgical calendar. Classes are held from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. between the two worship services.

The Sunday School calendar is divided into several segments that run approximately six weeks. This format makes it easy for parish volunteers to serve as teachers as no one is expected to teach for the full program unless they wish to do so. An informal orientation session is held each fall to introduce teachers to the curriculum and help them understand their role in this important ministry. In addition, all teachers will receive mandatory Safe Church training in keeping with the policy of the Diocese.
